Homeless and Struggling Women Veterans Stand Up – January 22, 2026
Women Veteran Rising Stand-Up is focused on meeting the unique and challenging needs of Homeless and Struggling Women Veterans and expressing gratitude for their military service. Their needs will be met by Veterans First, exhibitors, volunteers, and transportation to and from the event and bus passes, if needed. There will refreshments, snacks all day, and lunch will be served. It will be a day of knowing they are cared about, understanding services and programs available to them, and camaraderie with their fellow veteran sisters.
They will receive clothes, backpacks for the homeless, and goody bags for the struggling-filled with supplies that will assist them in their current living situation. The exhibitors will be from the Veterans Administration, Arizona Dept of Veteran Services, Arizona Dept of Economic Services, and Community Partners sharing their diverse services and programs tailored to the specific needs and challenges of the event participants. They will also enjoy the camaraderie with their sister Veterans.
When: January 22, 2026 (Thursday) – Engaging Homeless and Struggling Women Veterans
Where: American Legion Post 1, 364 N. 7th Avenue, Phoenix AZ 85007 (North of Van Buren on 7th Ave). Look for the American Flag flying high over Post 1.
