Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the U.S — 1,200 Veterans in VA care are diagnosed each year. Regular breast self-exams, clinical breast exams, and mammograms are vital.
At VA, breast cancer awareness is more than wearing pink ribbons. Breast cancer survivor urges Veterans to remember their strengths

Ruth Muniz is a breast cancer survivor, an Air Force Veteran, and a patient advocate at VA. She shares her cancer survival story to inspire other Veterans, regardless of gender, to stay strong and "most importantly, do not give up. You're going to make it through this."

Veterans First Ltd. is proud to announce a ceremony and concert to honor Military and Veteran Women on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Madison Center for the Arts, 5601 N. 16th Street, Phoenix, AZ.
