Arizona Veterans! Veteran Agriculture Education Program!

My name is Sofia Montes and I’m the program administrator of the Veterans Agriculture Education and Apprenticeship Program of the Southwest. We’re a grant funded, completely free educational program for AZ Veterans who are interested in gardening, farming, and other agricultural fields.

We offer a comprehensive online curriculum developed by University of Arizona professors, in-person workshops and events around the state, and a paid 1-week internship at one of 6 host farms in Arizona. The purpose of our program is to help Veterans develop businesses or switch careers into an agricultural field. This can mean developing their own business, developing new skills to look for employment, and more.

Again, this program is completely free to AZ Veterans! We would appreciate if you could spread the word to your local community. We have digital flyers we can send, as well as printed flyers we can mail you, if you are interested.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the program!

Thank you!
